To get this certification, the boots must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip coefficient on different surfaces (smooth, rugged, dry, wet). The soles of these sandals have a grip rating of 4/5 and are OUTDOORCONTACT© certified. Durability tests: Laboratory tests were also conducted to test the following elements: tearing of straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of sole and upper components, accelerated aging. These tests help us to improve the quality of our hiking sandals and prevent premature wear. What is the origin of our leather?: We use a type of leather called "nubuck" on the upper. It has a soft, silky feel. On the sole under the foot, we use a leather called "crust leather", more adapted to resist the repeated rubbing of the foot. The leather used in these shoes comes from cows. No animals are killed for the production of this leather: we only use the waste products from the food industry.
